Mrs. Sue Hall Burnett, age 67, 1170 Chulio Road, Rome, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2008, at a local hospital.
Mrs. Burnett was born in Gordon County on May 14, 1940, daughter of the late John and Mamie Sue Hall. She was employed for several years with Fox Manufacturing Co. here in Rome and was a member of the New Beginnings Church. Mrs. Burnett was preceded in death by a son, Terry Hall.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Ms. Kathy Graham, Rome, and Mrs. Lori Robinson, and her husband, Lynn, Rome; 2 sons, Timmy Morgan, Rome, and Billy Burnett, Rome; 2 sisters, Mrs. Cora Autry, Rome, and Mrs. Jack Hall, Calhoun; a brother, R. J. Hall, Rome; 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 3pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Smith and the Rev. Joe Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Rome Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6 until 8pm. At other hours, they may be contacted at the residence of a niece, Mrs. Jilletta Jerris, 74 Ridgeview Drive, Silver Creek, GA.
Pallbearers are requested to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home Friday at 2:30pm and include: Michael Lindsey, William Robinson, Jamie Robinson, Jackie Autry, Ricky Autry, Michael Graham, Keith Jerris, and Darryl Mims.

Mr. James Robert “Big Mo” Milliken, age 73, of 13 Hickory Street, Rome, GA, died Wednesday morning, May 14, 2008, in a local hospital.
Mr. Milliken was born in Brunswick County, NC, on May 15, 1934, son of the late Katie Milliken Floyd and stepson of Walter Floyd. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Mr. Milliken was a 40 year proud member of the Local #72 Welders, Pipefitters, and Plumbers Union. He was a quick learner and a jack of all trade (whether it is mechanics or construction of any project). Mr. Milliken enjoyed time with his family, watching westerns (especially John Wayne), and eating good food. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Jr. Floyd.
Mr. Milliken is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Carolyn Stowe Milliken of Rome, to whom he married in July 1964; two sons and daughter-in-law, Rev. Jerry and Jeanette Milliken of Silver Creek, GA, James Milliken of Rome; two daughters, Kimberly and Richard Sterno of Rome, Cher and Benjamin Davis of Armuchee, GA; nine grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; four brothers, Douglas, Roger, Larry, and Jessie Floyd all of North Carolina; three sisters, Carrie Mae of GA, Mary Ann and Vera Mae of South Carolina. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, May 16, 2008 in the Hillcrest Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Milliken, Mr. Steve Holland, and Rev. Harvey Bishop officiating. Interment will follow in the Floyd Memory Garden.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. At other hours the family will receive at the residence.
Pallbearers are asked to meet at the church by 10:30 AM and include Ben Davis, Daniel Milliken, Josh Davis, Juan Cruz, Shane Abernathy, and Rick Sterno.

Mrs. Billie Sue Jones Steadman, 70, of Little Texas Valley Road, Rome, Georgia, and a former resident of Marietta, passed away May 13, 2008 at the Redmond Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Steadman was born in Gilmer County, Georgia on December 11, 1937, a daughter of the late Will and Ollie Victoria Davis Jones. Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by five of her sisters, Wilma Prichett, Ozella Stewart, Mary Collie, Patsy Majors, and Christine Bozeman.
She was a member of the Roswell Street Baptist Church in Marietta where she had been active in several Bible Study organizations and the nursing home ministry for many years. Mrs. Steadman attended the Antioch Bible College in Marietta where she earned her Masters Degree in Christian Psychology. She spent the greater part of her life as a Homemaker.
Mrs. Steadman is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, Charles Steadman of the residence, to whom she was married February 22, 1957; daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Danny Decker of Summerville, Marsha and Bobby Watkins of Cartersville, and Mariea Chamlee also of Summerville; grandchildren, Ashley Decker, Jared Decker, Abigail Decker, Stephen Chamlee, Courtney Chamlee, Jesse Watkins, and Ellie Watkins; sisters, Nannie Mae Chadwick of Chatsworth, Kathleen Eubanks of Marietta, and Eloise Bulloch of Cerro Gordo, North Carolina.
Services to Celebrate the Life of Mrs. Steadman will be held on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. from the Oaknoll Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with her son-in-law, Pastor Danny Decker officiating. Interment will be at the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the Oaknoll Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home on Thursday, May 15, 2008 from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
