Rome’s Community Development Committee learned of a major housing issue Wednesday.
Code enforcement officer Glen Rubin says his office has targeted a number of homes owned by the elderly for enforcement action, but that most of them cannot afford the repairs to bring their homes to code.

The Rome Floyd Development Authority and Floyd County Development Authority have agreed to reduce the payscale target for companies seeking to locate in Rome.
