A bomb threat on Main Line Road (off of Old Cedartown Road), just east of Rockmart, prompted the response of the Northwest Georgia Bomb Squad this morning. Officials say the device was a hoax.
The intent of the hoax is still under investigation by Polk County Authorities.

Cedartown police report that an armed robbery has occurred at a convenience store on Main Street near Downtown Cedartown.
