A large tree fell during a thunderstorm late Thursday evening around 8pm and blocked the railroad tracks that run adjacent to Cedar Avenue.

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for 11 counties in northwest Georiga.
The watch for Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Dade, Floyd, Gordon, Haralson, Murray, Polk, Walker and Whitfield is in effect until 7 p.m.
